Seoul forest is not, in fact, a forest. It is most definitely a park. It is a nice park, and a large park, but it is not a forest. And honestly, I can't see how people could get confused about this. There are legitimate forests in Korea. Heck, there are legitimate forests in Seoul!
Aaaanyway. That's where I went with Honey and Kait today.
Honey wanted to find a place where you could feed deer. We wandered around looking for it, but when we finally found it it was closed due to a hoof-and-mouth scare. Lame.
Instead we found a nice shady spot and had a little picnic.
I should not lie on prickly grass. I had major itchiness on the backs of my arms after this.
There was a big sculpture garden that we explored for a while. Not to harp on a point, but if you have a sculpture garden I think you can safely say that you are not a forest. Other things that should make you reevaluate your identification as a "forest": elaborate fountains, multiple manmade ponds, regulation-size soccer fields, food courts, and stages with sound systems.
These things make for a pretty cool park though, WHICH IS WHAT YOU ARE, SEOUL "FOREST."

It is not a forest, of course.
ReplyDeleteI know some of English names make you confused.
It is park. Forest is a just name that they made.
I found some of informations.
Seoul Forest in Ttukseom, northeastern Seoul, which opened recently is the latest project in the Seoul Metropolitan Government`s ambitious plan to make the city eco-friendly.
The Seoul Metropolitan government made the Seoul Forest - dubbed the Korean version of New York`s Central Park - in eastern Seoul along the Han River.
Oh Chris..you are so funny!
