Everyone else wanted to sleep in, so I wandered around alone this morning. I tried to get lots of pictures so you could understand how cozy and beautiful Amsterdam is.
Uh, that last one is a cheeseburger vending machine. ...It couldn't all be quaint, right?
Had a nice lunch in the Vondelpark. My waiter was so gorgeous that I was rendered temporarily speechless. I couldn't find a way to take a picture of him without being weird.
Soon after noon, I was walking through a tulip market on one of the canals when someone came up behind me and pinched my butt. It probably says something that my first reaction was not, "Oh my God! How dare he!" but, "Yeah, that's probably Emily." I was right.
Cheese.
As we sat in a cute diner and had the best bacon sandwiches IN THE WORLD, a small parade went by our window. We did some searching in our guidebooks and came to the conclusion that it didn't have anything to do with Pride; it was just Dutch people being awesome.
We've been working on meeting some of our neighbors in this hotel. Hopefully we'll have people to hang out with tonight.

The next time you want to take a picture of someone, just tell them that you're an American. No explanation should be necessary beyond that.
ReplyDeleteOr, you can tell him that you think he is "HOT" and you must take his picture!!! Better yet, ask someone to take picture of you and the waiter. Emily is a adorable goof and Mimi is very fashionable.
