...and the sugar high may have led to some silliness involving Emily's hair and the Loch Ness monster.
Last night we went out for rijsttafel. Seriously, if you ever get the chance, try this stuff.
It's tons of little dishes of wonderful things served with rice. The entire dinner was a chorus of giggles and "yum"s.
We went out to a blues club to satisfy the boys' need to hear live music.
We had a drinky, dancy, good time. Stellar made friends with an entire bachelor party, we were followed by a creeper (which made us glad to have Darren - he's ex-military and acts like our big brother), and I hit on the only hot guy in the bar only to learn that he had just come out of the closet six months ago. He was here for Pride. Am I just becoming the welcome wagon for all the newly-out gay men in Europe? Well, I had fun talking to him anyway. He's native Dutch but his mother is from Portland!
I feel like we got the best roommates possible. They're both just so nice and cool. We had a blast hanging out with them. Unfortunately Alvin is heading back to his study abroad program in Germany today. I hope his replacement is as sweet as he is.
