How to Read

Dinner time, and Kris and her husband still aren't home. Jeez, they work hard.
Here's Harmuni, cooking for us every night and every day.

Eun-hyuk, right before he noticed the camera and decided that it must be his.
Hey! I know that one! Stellar makes it; it's microwaved egg whites!

After dinner I actually managed to make myself useful. Whenever I try to help with chores I just get shooed away, but today I read books to Eun-hyuk, keeping him out from under Harmuni's feet while she did dishes. Not much, I know, but I felt pretty accomplished. Especially since the books he chose were in Korean. I can't say I did a good job of reading them, but at least he seemed to know what I was trying to say, and he sat curled up with me nicely for almost fifteen minutes. Harmuni was pretty impressed with my reading. I think she was asking me if my Mom used to read me those books. I tried to tell her that no, I was just sounding it out. I actually didn't know what I was saying. But I'm understanding a little more than I used to, so maybe I should try reading Eun-hyuk's books more often.
